-- 40% rise in Iran's exports

“This year, all our efforts should be made towards achieving growth in production, especially knowledge-based and technology-based production,” he said, in reference to the naming of this year by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.
The president further pointed out that “only then we will witness a real growth, an increase in production, the elimination of unemployment and the production of goods in the region and the world.”
Commenting on the expansion of economic relations with the regional countries, Raeisi said, “We must revive Iran’s share in the economic interactions of the region, including in the transit of goods, monetary and financial circulation and other economic fields.”

-- Iran’s six-month exports of textile, clothing industries products up

The weight of exports from Iran’s clothing and textile industries increased by 12 percent in the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21-September 22), compared to the related figure for the preceding year, according to a deputy with the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
Mohammad-Mehdi Baradaran said the country’s petrochemical plants have increased their production of raw materials for the clothing industry, which has resulted in increasing the production of clothing and garments in the country, IRIB News reported.
Referring to the job-creating potential of clothing production units, the official said: “In the current year, over 422,000 jobs have been created in various industries, and some clothing units have seen a 20 percent increase in employment.”

-- Kordkuy: A tourist destination attractive to nature-lovers

The town of Kordkuy in the northeastern province of Golestan, with an area of 815 sq. km and a population of 72,000, attracts many travelers from across the country every year.
It is known as one of the main tourist destinations of the region; however, the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country during the past two and a half years has caused travelers to be deprived of its pristine nature. Due to its proximity to the Caspian Sea, the climate of the city is mild, humid and Mediterranean, chtn.ir wrote.
Lush forests with tall trees are among the other unique tourist attractions of Kordkuy, where walking and breathing its air makes every travelers cheerful and vivacious.

-- Iran FM: U.S. in a Hurry to Reach Deal 

Deploring a contradiction between the U.S.’ words and deeds, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian said Saturday that Washington is in a hurry to strike an agreement with Iran and has sent a message to Tehran. “We received a message from the American party. Even in the exchange of messages, the Americans are in a hurry for reaching the point of agreement as soon as possible,” he said in Yerevan. “We have made it clear that the accusations that the (International Atomic Energy) Agency has leveled against Iran in the nuclear sphere must be settled.”

-- Petroleum Minister Holds Energy Talks With Turkish Officials

 Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji has discussed extension of the gas contract and energy trade in a meeting with the Turkish energy and economic officials.
Javad Owji, who has traveled to Ankara at the head of a delegation, met and talked with Turkish Energy and Economy Minister Fatih Dönmez and the head of the Central Bank of Turkey Nureddin Nebati, and major companies active in the energy sector of this country.
Owji discussed with Turkish officials the extension of Iran’s gas export contract to Turkey and the principles of which are agreed upon by both parties, and it was decided to form a joint working group to work on the issue of contract extension.

-- Iranian Chess Players Claim 10 Medals in Asian Championship

Iranian chess players participating in various age groups of the 2022 Bali Asian Chess Championship ended their work winning with a total of ten medals.
The Indonesia Youth Asian Chess Championship in boys and girls’ fields was held in three classes namely the standard, the fast, and the blitz from May 12 to 19 with 456 participants from across Asia.
At the end of the Asian competitions, Salma Haratian from Khorasan Razavi shone well in the under-8-year-old group winning a gold medal in the girls’ group.

-- Iran attends OIC Conference of Information Ministers

Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad-Mehdi Esmaeili, is in Istanbul, Turkey, to attend the 12th Conference of Information Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The role of media in confronting terrorism and Islamophobia is the main topic discussed at the two-day meeting, which opened on Friday.

Esmaeili held meetings with Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum president Taha Ayhan, Turkish president’s spokesperson Fahrettin Altun and several other officials during his visit to the country.

 A destination for the faithful, sightseers, and historians near Tehran, the Congregational (Jameh) Mosque of Varamin is renowned as the earliest surviving example of a mosque constructed by the Ilkhanids in Iran.

The mosque’s decorative treatment is rich on the surface; the materials employed include plaster, glazed and unglazed terracotta, and glazed tile-mosaic work. A portal iwan of the mosque features glazed terracotta in dark and light blue, forming a geometric pattern on a background of unglazed terracotta.

Its sunburst dome features a medallion at its center, from which descends an arabesque of a diamond geometric motif that expands with the curve of the dome.

-- Carlos Queiroz worries about preparation time

 Iran national football team head coach Carlos Queiroz is worried about Team Melli’s preparation time. The Portuguese coach talked to the reporters on Saturday after the National Team’s training in Tehran’s Azadi Stadium.

“First of all, I am very happy to see the media in the training since you always support us,” Queiroz said. “But with less than a month until the 2022 World Cup opening game, we should fix problems ahead of us.” “Like other teams who have qualified for the World Cup, we are fully motivated and do our best to participate in the event with full preparation.
