-- Brazil bank offers credit to Iranian investors for farming
The head of the Joint Chamber of Iran and Brazil announced the readiness of a Brazilian bank to support those Iranians who want to invest in overseas farming in the South American country.
According to Fakhroddin Amerian, the bank has announced its readiness to provide 80 percent of the funds, with another 20 percent to be shared by the investor.
Overseas farming has come to attention in recent years. Even though Iran has fertile soil in some regions, the rapid erosion of soil amid wrong traits such as a lack of crop rotation has prompted experts to explore various methods to ensure food security.
Food security is considered a key challenge of our time and a pivotal factor for sustainable development of communities and alleviating poverty.
-- Iran approves over $382m of FDI in six months
The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade approved 73 projects with a total foreign direct investment (FDI) of $382.4 million in the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21-September 22).
According to the latest data released by the ministry, of the 73 investment projects, 93.8 percent was the share of the industrial sector, 2.2 percent was the share of the mining sector, while trade-related projects accounted for four percent of the total figure.

On the occasion of National Children’s Week in Iran, an exhibition featuring winners’ works of Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB) held in Tehran by Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults.
Being held at the Cultural-Artistic Creations Gallery of Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA or Kanoon) on October 12-14, the public relations and international affairs department of IIDCYA reported.
-- All Iranian Crew of Venezuelan Plane Released
All of the five Iranian crew members of a Venezuelan plane who had been confined in Argentina at the request of the U.S. in June have been released, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kan’ani said.
In a statement on Tuesday, Kan’ani said the five Iranian nationals have been freed after 129 days of diplomatic efforts as well as legal and consular campaigns jointly conducted by Iran and Venezuela.
-- APC President Thanks Iran’s Leader for Supporting Paralympics
Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) President Majid Rashed has thanked the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and other Iranian officials for supporting the paralympic movement.
Majid Rashed made the remarks in a press conference in Tehran on Tuesday, saying that on his Iran visit so far, he had good meetings with Iran’s Minister of Sports, and the head of the National Olympic and Paralympic Committee.

-- Isfahan opens permanent exhibit dedicated to historical inscriptions and stones
Isfahan’s first permanent exhibition of historical inscriptions and stones has opened to the public, the provincial tourism chief has said. “Hosted by Chehel Sotoun Palace, the special exhibition periodically showcases historical stones to tourists and cultural heritage lovers,” Alireza Izadi said on Monday.
The exhibition, which is the first of its kind in Isfahan, showcases inscriptions and stone decorations that once adorned some historical buildings, mansions and mosques, the official said.
-- Persian audiobook featuring amazing interviews with Ernest Hemingway published
An audiobook featuring interviews with popular American writer Ernest Hemingway, whose adventurous lifestyle won him admiration from later generations, has been published for Persian audiences. The Iranian platform Avaye Chirok has prepared the audiobook based on a Persian translation of “Ernest Hemingway: The Last Interview and Other Conversations” by Hossein Karbalai-Taher.
The original edition was published in 2015 by Melville House and the Iranian publisher Aftabkaran released the Persian edition in 2017.
-- IRGC launches large-scale military drill in northwest Iran
With the involvement of several units, the Ground Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has initiated a massive military drill in Iran's northwestern borders.
The three-day drill, known as the IRGC Ground Force's Authority, started on Monday in the Aras region, that includes the northern parts of Ardabil and East Azarbaijan provinces.
