Conference on Decade of Dignity, Imam Reza (AS) Poetry Circle held in Pakistan

Islamabad, June 18, IRNA - A conference on Imam Reza (AS) Poetry Circle was held by the Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran at Khana-e-Farhang in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, simultaneously with the Decade of Dignity.

A large number of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) lovers, including Sunnis and Shias, scholars, political, cultural, literary, and scientific personalities, participated in a glorious ceremony to commemorate the Decade of Dignity and the birth of Imam Reza (AS) ) And Hazrat Fatima Masumeh (AS). 

In this program, after reciting a few verses from the Holy Quran and reciting a Naat and special prayers for Ali Ibn Musa Al-Reza (AS), Ehsan Khazaei, the cultural attaché of the Iranian Embassy welcomed the guests.

While congratulating the blessed days of dignity, he expressed the characteristics, moral virtues of great leaders of Islam.

He said that following the example of Imam Reza (AS), Muslims can help forgoing unity among the Islamic Ummah and expand the convergence between Islamic sects especially in today's world where takfiri groups with ignorant prejudices and bloodshed in Islamic societies show a negative image of Islam.

He continued that Islamic scholars should help the unity and cohesion among Islamic societies by enlightening and explaining the life of Imam Reza (AS) and other pure Imams (AS).

Some Pakistani personalities expressing their views said it is the duty of Islamic scholars and thinkers to explain the events related to the time of Imam Reza (AS).

Some Shia scholars also explained Imam Reza's miracles and explained his debates and conversations with leaders and scholars of different religions and sects, adding that as a result of these debates, many opponents of Imam believed in him.

In these debates, Reza (AS) beautifully proved the monotheism and mission of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) by quoting the sources of other religions and opponents.

Following the program, several prominent poets from the cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad recited poems in Urdu and Persian describing Hazrat Ali Ibn Musa al-Reza (AS).

On the sidelines of this ceremony, an exhibition of books related to the biography of Imam Reza (AS) and paintings and speeches, hadiths and narrations of that Imam in Urdu and English languages ​​was held.
