Iran's parliament speaker hails Palestinian resistance to Israeli aggressions

Mashad, May 22, IRNA – Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf on Saturday hailed the resistance of the Palestinian people against the Israeli aggressions over the past 12 days.

Qalibaf, who was talking during a ceremony in Mashad, northeastern Iran, when he inaugurated some constructional plans, said that anyone of any religion and with any political inclination has to condemn the brutalities of the Zionist regime of Israel.

In the 1960s, when Israel did not have even one-twentieth of its current strength, it defeated Arab armies in a six-day war, but today, despite the US support and a complete siege of the Gaza Strip, it has been defeated by the Palestinian fighters, the Majlis speaker said.

The US government that claim to be the supporter of human rights has kept silent to the genocide, child killing and attacks on civil, health, media and educational centers by the Zionists, he added.

He added that the US government even vetoes all UN Security Council resolutions against the Zionist regime of Israel which shows that the American politicians do not care about human rights but their interests.
