In his letter, Iran's vice president has invited the Syrian prime minister to attend the 15th Iran-Syria High Commission in the Iranian capital.
During the meeting with the Syrian premier in Damascus on Wednesday, Iran’s foreign minister referred to Syria as a friendly, brotherly and allied country and said that Iran is a friend of tough times for Syria.
He also highlighted the significance of Iran-Syria comprehensive cooperation deal signed during a visit to Damascus by President Ebrahim Raisi which he said can expedite bilateral cooperation in different areas.
Amirabdollahian also called for further cooperation between Tehran and Damascus on banking exchanges, auto manufacturing, oil, gas and electricity.
The Syrian prime minister, in the meantime, said that his country appreciates Iran's support for Syria, adding that Damascus takes honor in relations with Tehran.
Stressing the importance of the already signed agreements between the two countries, Arnous referred to implementation of power plant projects in Syria by Iranian operators as a significant measure.
He also expressed satisfaction with the thaw of diplomatic ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia which he said would benefit the entire region.
