The head of the central headquarters for holding National Student Day Vahid Jalalzadeh said on Monday that several students would be received by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei on Wednesday.
In the Iranian calendar, the '13th of Aban', which falls on November 4, has been named the National Day of Students.
"13th Aban" also had been named the "Day of fighting imperialism" as the country remembers the historical act of Iranian students who took over the US embassy in Tehran on November 4, 1979, and revealed secrets of spying and countless US interventions in Iran.
The 13th of Aban has turned into a symbol of great sensitive and momentous realities. The event reminds the greed of the United States because the American authorities thought that they are allowed to loot other countries resources. The 13th of Aban is reminiscent of Iranian students' vigilance in dealing with the US threats.
This year, the commemoration of November 4 will be held on Friday.
