Andrei Savinyh, chairman of Belarusian Parliament’s International Commission who heads the country’s group of parliamentary friendship with Iran, met with Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy Mahdi Safari in Tehran on Thursday.
The two discussed bilateral relations between Iran and Belarus and the process of increasing cooperation and ways to expand ties.
Savinyh underscored supporting governmental and private economic plans by the parliaments of both countries in line with activating the role north-south corridor in their trade.
The Belarusian lawmaker is heading a parliamentary delegation to Iran to meet Iranian officials.
