---Pakistan, Iran enhance anti-terror cooperation along common border: Islamabad
Tehran and Islamabad have recently increased their cooperation to stop terrorist attacks along the common border, said the Pakistani foreign minister.
Making the remark in an interview with Press TV, Shah Mahmood Qureshi highlighted the importance of Islamabad’s recent agreement on counterterrorism cooperation with Tehran, saying the two sides have adopted a joint strategy to deal with terrorist attacks.
The top Pakistani diplomat said border violence has significantly declined in recent years as the two neighbors want to see a stable and peaceful region, and are looking to expand their economic cooperation.
-- Iran commits to creating nearly 2m jobs until March 2023
Iran’s Labor Minister Hojatollah Abdolmaleki announced plans showing that the government has committed to creating nearly two million new jobs in the country until March 2023.
Abdolmaleki said on Thursday that a target was set for Iran’s public and private sectors to create some 1.85 million new jobs until the end of the next Iranian year.
-- Dehdasht Caravanserai in southwest Iran to be registered on World Heritage List
A caravanserai in the historical section of Dehdasht in Kohgiluyeh and Boyerahmad Province will be registered on the World Heritage List in the next Iranian year (which starts on March 21), said an official from the southwestern province’s Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department, adding that UNESCO inspectors announced the above after visiting the historical monument. UNESCO inspectors have recently paid a visit to the province to study and evaluate the registration of this work, describing the monument as one of the most unique, said the head of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department, Majid Safaei, in a press conference in the provincial capital city of Yasuj on Thursday.
The global registration of this work will lead to the tourism prosperity and development of the region, he added.
According to Safaei, the historical context of Belad-e Shapur, as one of the most significant historical monuments, is among the 2,800 monuments across the province.

-- New Talks Should Remove U.S. Sanctions
New talks between Iran and other signatories of a 2015 nuclear deal will only be successful if they remove U.S. sanctions, Iran’s chief negotiator and Russian foreign ministry have said.
Ali Baqeri Kani, who is also deputy foreign minister, met with his Russian counterpart Sergei Ryabkov here on Friday, where they discussed the removal of the most draconian sanctions ever on the Islamic Republic.
Iran’s official news agency IRNA quoted the two diplomats as saying after their meeting that “the new talks will only be successful if they lead to the removal of sanctions and the full implementation by the parties of their commitments”.

The head of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Mehdi Mir-Ashrafi has said that 6,948,000 tons of foreign goods were transited through Iranian borders in seven months of current year (from March 21 to Oct. 22).
Mir-Ashrafi said that 6,948,000 tons of various types of foreign goods were transited via Iranian borders from March 21 to Oct. 22, showing a significant 81 percent growth as compared to the same period of last year.

-- Iran Darrudi, pioneer surrealist, dies at 85
Top Iranian surrealist painter Iran Darrudi passed away on Friday at a Tehran hospital after a prolonged battle with cancer, something that she had once called the miracle of her life. Her death was announced in a post on her Instagram account, now being handled by the Iran Darrudi Foundation.
“A free, patriot and sparring woman, a lady to whom the contemporary Iranian art will be indebted forever has been joined to the light,” the foundation wrote in the post on Friday. Earlier in September, Darrudi was hospitalized after she tested positive for COVID-19, however, she left the hospital soon after recovering from the disease.
-- Non-oil trade rises 43% in 7 months yr/yr
The value of Iran’s non-oil trade rose 43 percent during the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-October 22) as compared to the same period of time in the past year, the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) announced.
Mehdi Mir-Ashrafi said that Iran has traded over 98 million tons of non-oil products worth $54.8 billion with other countries in the mentioned period, IRIB reported. According to the IRICA head, the volume of trade in the mentioned period also grew by 16.5 percent in comparison to the figure for the previous fiscal year.

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Iran, with the support of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) and Sri Lanka Foreign Ministry, organized a tourism promotion event “Destination Sri Lanka” at its Chancery premises in Tehran on 26th October 2021.
Around 60 representatives from the travel trade, airlines, media, and relevant other sectors in Iran were in attendance. The objective of the event was to promote Sri Lanka again as a favored travel destination of Iranian tourists, after a long break due to the pandemic restrictions and solicit views on uplifting of Sri Lanka tourism.
