-- Russian envoy: Iran’s demand from US to guarantee nuclear deal logical

Russia’s ambassador to international organizations in Vienna said Iran’s demand from the US administration to guarantee the landmark nuclear deal, signed by Iran and world powers in 2015, is not only logical, but also “corresponds ... to elementary common sense”.
Mikhail Ulyanov made the remarks in a Sunday tweet while answering a follower who asked him about his opinion on why the US President Joe Biden’s administration refuses to guarantee the deal even through his own presidency.

-- Chamber: Industrial production to help Iran boost trade ties

Focus on export of industrial production will help Iran expand trade ties with neighboring countries, an Iranian official said. Chairman of Iran-Russia Joint Chamber of Commerce Hadi Tizhoush Taban told IRNA on Monday that expansion of trade relations with neighboring states is a proper strategy, which will bring about economic and security achievements.
The administration of President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, he added, attaches great importance to development of trade ties with neighboring and regional countries, so the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is tasked with the implementation of the goal.
Iranian Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Reza Fatemi Amin underlined that his ministry will do all-out efforts to increase trade exchanges to four billion dollars within four years.

-- Reza Bazaar, a recreational and historical attraction of Mashhad

Mashhad in northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi Province, is known as a place of religious pilgrimage in Iran. It’s centered on the holy shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH), the eighth Imam of Shia Muslim, with golden domes and minarets that are floodlit at night.
When traveling to Mashhad, be sure to visit Reza Bazaar, a beautiful historical market, located on the eastern side of the holy shrine. It is one of the most important shopping malls of the city.


-- Iran’s Top Negotiator to Hold Talks in Brussels on Wednesday

Iran’s top negotiator in talks to remove U.S. illegal sanctions says he will meet with the European Union’s Deputy Secretary General Enrique Mora in Brussels on Wednesday to continue “talks on result-oriented negotiation.”
In a tweet on Monday, Ali Baqeri-Kani said he will meet Mora, who also acts as the coordinator of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal’s Joint Commission, in Brussels to discuss the continuation of talks, several rounds of which were held earlier this year to bring back Washington into compliance with the accord, officially known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), after the U.S. administration unilaterally quit the deal in 2018.

-- Iranian Nanotech Products Hit Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan Markets

Iran Nanotechnology Innovation Council (INIC) announced that 41 countries have demanded Iranian nanotechnology products, with Iraq, Turkey, and Afghanistan being the largest importers of the products with aggregate value of 15 million dollars.
Expansion of export programs by INIC in recent years have paved the ground for Iranian nanotechnology products and services to enter the global market.
After the aforementioned countries, Uzbekistan, Georgia, and Republic of Azerbaijan are the next largest destinations of Iranian nanotechnology products and services export.

-- Abdi Wins 40th Rotterdam Marathon in European Record

Somali-born Belgian athlete Bashir Abdi has claimed the victory in the 40th edition of the Rotterdam Marathon in a new European record of two hours three minutes and 35 seconds.
Kenyan Stella Barsosio won the women’s race in a personal best of 2:22:08. The course record of Ethiopian Tiki Gelana, 2:18:58 in 2012, remained out of reach.
After 30 kilometers, Kenyan Marius Kipserem ran away from his competitors. However, the 2016 and 2019 Rotterdam Marathon winner was unable to maintain his pace and was overtaken by Abdi and Ethiopian Dawit Wolde.

-- Special envoy says Taliban is a reality in Afghanistan

The Special Representative of the Iranian President for Afghanistan has said "considering the situation in Afghanistan, the Taliban is a reality in this country that controls the capital and is responsible for ensuring the security of this country."

In an interview with the IRIB news agency on Friday, Hassan Kazemi Qomi said that his appointment to the job shows the status of Afghanistan in Iran's foreign policy with regard to the Islamic Republic’s national security.

He said, “Afghanistan is in a complex and critical situation, and 20 years of American occupation have resulted in nothing but killing, aggression, and destruction for the oppressed people of this country." 

-- Output maintenance crisis: alarm bells ringing for world's top gas reserve

Holding nearly 18 percent of the global gas reserves, Iran is one of the most hydrocarbon-rich areas in the world, and the country’s giant South Pars gas field (which Iran shares with Qatar in the Persian Gulf) is by far the world's largest natural gas field.

South Pars covers an area of 9,700 square kilometers, 3,700 square kilometers of which are in Iran’s territorial waters and the remaining 6,000 square kilometers, called North Dome, are situated in the Arab country’s territorial waters.

-- Iran sets new rules to resume foreign tourist arrivals

Iranian officials have announced new rules for foreign tourists interested in visiting the country, CHTN reported on Monday. As of October 23, direct and indirect entry and exit of nationals of Iran and other countries (both groups and individuals) from/to air and land borders are no longer restricted by presenting a valid vaccination card and following protocols approved by the Ministry of Health, the report added.

A health certificate with a negative coronavirus PCR test result, issued at most 96 hours before arrival, is required for travelers.
