The CCOIP, the body responsible for coordinating Islamic preaching efforts, released a statement on Monday condemning the killing of innocent people in Afghanistan in terrorist attacks which has broken the hearts of Muslims on the threshold of Islamic Unity Week.
The statement attributed the main responsibility for the terrorist attacks in Afghanistan to the US that, according to the statement, wanted to convey the notion that Afghanistan has lost security against US withdrawal.
The US terrorist regime and their allies must end the war against Muslim nations, Afghan people in particular, because the global public opinion believed that US withdrawal from the West Asian region would provide Muslim nations security, the CCOIP added.
The religious body expressed sympathy towards the Afghan people and called on Afghan authorities and the international community to investigate the crimes and prevent similar incidents in the future by punishing those involved.
Afghanistan has seen two terrorist attacks in recent weeks by ISIS suicide bombers targeting Shiite worshipers in two mosques in Kunduz and Kandahar provinces.
The attacks in total have led to the death of over 80 people and the wounding of hundreds more.
