Baghdad, IRNA – Reprehensive of Iranian Assyrian and Chaldeans at Iran’s Parliament Charlie Enoyeh Tekyeh in a meeting here on Wednesday with the Cardinal of the Assyrian and Chaldeans of Iraq exchanged viewpoints with him on church officials, and probability of Pope’s visit of Iran.

Enoyeh Tekyeh said in the meeting that the Iranian Christians enjoy satisfactory living conditions in their country, reiterating that "we are proud to live in the Islamic Republic of Iran".

Cardinal Louise Rafael Sacco, for his part, said in the meeting that he asks for broader connections and effective interactions between the Iranian and Iraqi Christians.

The Cardinal of the Assyrian and Chaldeans of Iraq also promised Charlie Enoyeh Tekyeh that he will visit Iran again in shortest possible time and also informed him that the leader of the world Catholic Christians Pope Francis, too, might visit Iran.

He said that the coronavirus pandemic might delay the Vatican officials’ visit of Iran.
