The event focuses on ways to attract tourists, encourage people to protect environment and natural resources, develop cultivation of plants, take advantage of agricultural lands and introducing natural and historical attractions of Alborz province.
The festival is held every year and the organizers aim to promote the culture of plantation and help develop green nature of Iran and Alborz province.
Over 500,000 people visit the festival every year.
Tulips form a genus of spring-blooming perennial herbaceous bulbiferous geophytes. The flowers are usually large, showy and brightly coloured, generally red, pink, yellow, or white.

Karaj, May 4, IRNA – The 21st festival of tulips kicked off in presence of Vice-President and head of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO) Ali Asghar Munesan and Alborz governor in Garmab Village.
