Iran-Malaysia Children's Festival to be held in February

Kuala Lumpur, Feb 6, IRNA – The first joint children's festival of Iran and Malaysia will be held in various fields, including storytelling, science, and education in Kuala Lumpur.

The event, titled 'Malaysia Iran Children's Festival, Science, Stories and Young People' will be held by the Malaysian Board on Books for Young People (MBBY), together with Iran Cultural Centre, Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran on February 10-13.

Head of Cultural Center at Iran's Embassy in Kuala Lumpur Ali Mohammad Sabeqi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that holding an exhibition of the work of children's book illustrators, briefing the children on the basics of science and technology, holding educational workshops by Iranian artists and illustrators for Malaysian artists are among the activities of the event.

Hoda Haddadi, Nasim Norozi, Ali Boozari and Kamal Tabatabaei, among others, will hold the workshops.

A three-member group of musicians will play Iranian classic music on the sidelines of the event.
