Iran undertakes to set tech-market for Islamic states

Tehran, June 8, IRNA – Head of Science and Technology Parks network of Islamic states Majid Mottaqi Talab said on Wednesday that the secretariat of the network resided in Iran undertook to set tech-market of Islamic countries.

Mottaqi Talab told IRNA on Wednesday that the 15th session of general assembly of Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH) was held in Islamabad, Pakistan, last week.
He said that regular consultations, despite sabotage by certain countries, two issues were approved by the final resolution.
One of the approvals was related to creation of tech-market for Islamic states, which is very important issue for the network parks of Islamic countries (INSTP).
He said that as secretariat for science and technology parks network for Islamic states (resided in Science and Technology Park in Gilan province) we undertook to propose structure and administration and plan to create tech-market for Islamic states in a three months period and deliver it to COMSTECH secretariat.
Mottaqi Talab said that establishment of Fund for Risky Investment was another approval of the COMSTECH meeting.
He added that the two approvals were supplementary for each other and among applicability for resistance economy and knowledge-based economy.
The 30th executive committee meeting and the 15th session of general assembly of COMSTECH kicked off on Tuesday May 31st in presence of Pakistan president in Islamabad.
Ministers of Science and Technology of member states of OIC attended the meeting.
Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology for research and technology affairs Vahid Ahmadi led Iranian delegation to the meeting.
