Yemen calls on Muslim nations to boycott Israeli, American goods

Tehran, IRNA – Head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat has called on Arab and Islamic countries to boycott Israeli and American goods, in a token of support for Palestinians, who are being massacred by the US-backed Zionist regime.

“If it were not for the clear participation of the US in the aggression against Gaza, Israeli crimes would not have taken place there”, al-Mashat said in speech on Sunday night according to a report by the Al-Masirah News Network.

For the third time, Washington did not allow international efforts to stop the war in Gaza to succeed, he referred to the US vetoing of ceasefire resolutions at the United Nations Security Council.

He further underlined that the US has nothing to do with human rights as the Gaza war has exposed its true face. “America supports mass murder, the killer of children and violator of the rights of nations”.

"The holy month of Ramadan has arrived and our brothers in Palestine and Gaza are facing the US-Israeli genocidal war for the sixth consecutive month”, the Yemeni official said.

Al-Mashat reiterated support for Palestinians, saying the Yemeni army will continue to target Zionist ships or ships bound for the occupied territories in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

"Shipping in the Red and Arabian seas is free for all except American, British and Israeli ships," he was quoted as saying as the Yemeni army has also intensified attacks on American and British vessels in retaliation for the two countries’ aggression against Yemen.

The Yemeni forces have repeatedly said that navigation in the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea is free for other ships and that they enjoy full security, he noted.
