Amirabdollahian made the remarks in Tehran on Monday in a meeting with the Special Coordinator and Independent Assessor of UN Feridun Hadi Sinirlioğlu.
The top Iranian diplomat said forming an all-inclusive government in Afghanistan and fighting terrorism are viewed by Oran as "important" issues.
He also called for supporting regional initiatives for resolving Afghanistan's challenges.
Amirabdollahian said that Afghanistan needs urgent solutions, he said, adding that if the international community does not pay serious attention to the security challenges of the country that are caused by terrorist groups, they will have grave repercussions that will affect the region and the entire world.
For his part, Sinirlioğlu elaborated on his assessment concerning Afghanistan's situation in different fields and highlighted UN's will to support regional initiatives to help form an all-inclusive government in the country.
