Major General Salami said in a Monday that the ceremony of commemorating the third martyrdom anniversary of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tehran that the participation of commanders in diplomatic and political arenas prove that war and peace are intertwined in the today’s world.
Sometimes friendships and hostilities happen at the same time, he said, noting that the foreign policy apparatus of a country pursues interaction, but conflicts overcome the atmosphere of interaction in some occasions.
The nature of Iran’s diplomacy has its roots in Jihad and confrontation, because diplomatic defense of the country’s crucial interests is of the first significance and the second important issue is the political assault on the heart of foreign policy of the foes, Salami noted.
Since the reliable allies are a few states, we have to adopt a diplomatic combat format in the current global situation, which resembles a world war, he said.
As to the efforts made by General Soleimani, he said that Martyr Soleimani’s endeavors nullified the United States’ policies, including government building in the region; so, one can say his main job was the empowerment of Iran’s foreign policy.
Salami further warned the enemies of the Islamic Republic to be mindful of their acts in the face of Iran, because the Iranians can find them in any point in the world.
