In the communique issued by police it is said that in the course of a gathering in front of the Embassy of Iran a noticeable group of people intended to create chaos and disrupt public order.
The communique adds that the protesters tried to pass through the police line and threw objects against the police forces, which led to dispatching a larger number of police officers to the place.
It adds, "Five of the demonstrators who resorted to aggressive acts were arrested."
The police communique adds that during the unrests in front of the embassy a number of police officers were wounded.
The London Police has announced that police officers will remain in the district for safeguard the embassy's security.
Of course, after the 2018 attack against the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran the London Police has adopted security measures for that diplomatic building.
During the Sunday gathering of the rioters, who were mainly monarchists, or members of the MKO terrorist organization, slogans against Iranian officials and the sacred political system of the Islamic Republic of Iran were chanted by the demonstrators.
