Jalali was speaking with IRNA as he attended the MIMS Automobility Moscow 2022 which kicked off in the Russian capital on Monday. Iranian auto-makers and part-makers are taking part in the trade fair too.
He said that there are numerous grounds the two countries can use to expand cooperation, including auto-making industry.
The ambassador said that Iran can increase its exports to Russia through more active participation of Iranian auto-makers and car-makers, with the issue being highlighted more when considering the fact that some neighboring countries of Iran have already boosted exports of auto parts to Russia.
Jalali said that in order to have a strong presence in Russia, those in charge of Iranian auto-making companies should pay frequent visits to the country to make connections and pave ground for joint ventures with Russian manufacturers.
600 companies from 18 countries are attending the MIMS Automobility Moscow 2022 that will wrap up on August 25.
Iranian companies are showcasing their products at a 1,700-sqaure meter hall, which is the largest among all the participants.
