In a condolence message on Sunday to the Iranian president, President Rahmon stated that the news of the collapse of a building in Abadan, Khuzestan province of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which caused many casualties, made him sincerely saddened.
He added "In these sad moments, I express my sympathy and condolences to President Raisi and relatives of the victims of this tragedy and wish full recovery for all those affected.
On Monday, May 23, a large portion of one of the ten-story Metropol twin towers in Abadan, southwest Iran, collapsed and killed 29 people till now and left some injured or missing.
