1 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze medals for Iranian U-23 Greco-Roman wrestlers

Tehran, IRNA – Iran's under-23-year old Greco-Roman athletes participating in Belgrade, Serbia, U-23 2021 World Wrestling Championship won a gold, two silver and two bronze medals, are the top team thus far, and are tightly competing with 95 points with Russia to keep their place.

The athletic competitions in Belgrade were held from October 1-3 in five weight categories and Tuesday matches began at 8:30 p.m., Iran's local time.

At the end of today’s matches Amin Mirzarzadeh in 130kg weight category won gold medal, Puya Dadmarz and Amin Kavianinezhad in 55 and 77kg weight categories, respectively won silver medals and Alireza Nejati and Nasser Alizadeh both in 78kg won the world championship games’ bronze medals.

At the end of these five weighs Iran with 95 points ranks first, Russia with 90 points second, and Turkey and Hungary, respectively with 60 and 61 points rank 3rd and 4th.
