Iran, Venezuela underscore expansion of ties

Tehran, IRNA – Iran's Vice President for Economic Affairs Mohsen Rezaee in a meeting on Monday with Venezuela's Minister of Foreign Affairs Felix Plasencia Gonzalez said that Iran and Venezuela are willing to continue their economic cooperation in a clear direction.

Pointing out that today is the time for the Venezuelan government and people to show that they are capable in the phases of construction and economy as they were capable in the field of resistance, Rezaee said that Iran stands with Venezuela in the field of construction and progress of the economy as it stands with Venezuela in the resistance phase.

Stressing that the two countries are ready to make strides together in the construction phase, he noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran is interested in promoting its interactions with Venezuela in the field of exporting technical and engineering services, construction of refineries and petrochemical complexes, oil extraction, steel production as well as other industrial and mining fields.

Referring to the point that Americans can not be trusted at all, he highlighted that the way to save their nations is to cooperate with friendly countries, and certainly by continuing this way, they can overcome the problems and obstacles.

The Venezuelan foreign minister, for his part, said that the two governments are committed to supporting each other in the international arena, adding that the agreement will hold a meeting of the joint commission on economic cooperation between the two states before the end of this year and it will be one of the most important achievements of his trip to Tehran.
