In an interview with IRNA, Liaqat Baloch of Jamaat-e-Islami said that Imam Khomeini was the leader of the entire Muslim world who call for the unity of Ummah.
He said that Imam Khomeini with his great struggle and sacrifices united the Iranian nation against a tyrant ruler and brought Islamic Revolution to the country.
“He (Imam Khomeini) gave a strong Islamic system to Iran through Islamic Revolution which is a great achievement,” viewed Liaqat Baloch.
The politician went on to say that Imam Khomeini has always talked about unity in Muslim world but unfortunately, under a planned conspiracy Muslims are divided into different groups.
“I had the honor of meeting Imam Khomeini three times in my life and I found him a true Muslim leader having a love for all Muslims around the world,” said the JI leader.
Baloch added that Imam Khomeini was a great visionary leader.
He was of the view that Muslims have to shun their differences and unite against the imperialist forces.
“I think that if Muslims follow the teachings of Imam Khomeini in their true spirit, they would be able to overcome all challenges,” he viewed.
