Addressing an audience in the northern branch of Azad University in Tehran, Gholamreza Jalali stated that by examining the problems and threats of the country within the framework of civil defense programs, in addition to success, in the face of threats posed by the enemies, Iran would become the scientific hub of the world in various fields.
In the strategic document of Civil Defense Organization, principles and values have been defined that should be considered in the scientific and academic research, IRNA reported on Saturday.
The official went on to say, 'Americans have plans that seem to be very scientific and sophisticated to control scientific approaches in the world, but the ultimate goal behind these plans is that the enemy, through them, monitors, controls and manage the world.
Noting that the enemies for monitoring the production of knowledge and science and their growth and diversity in different countries of the world have set up a mechanism called the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI), CDOI’s head underlined, “The enemies want to manage knowledge generation and orientation of the fields of producing knowledge in the world through these ways.”
Jalali went on to say that in the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, it was concluded that in the scientific and research affairs, instead of the ISI, a native mechanism called ISC (Islamic World Science Citation Center) would be used to evaluate and improve the system of professors’ ranking.
