Aggressors won’t achieve goals militarily: Yemen

Tehran, IRNA- A senior member of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen said on Sunday night that the enemies had not achieved their goals with the nine-year of military offensive against Sana'a and would failed to accomplish the same in the future.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, in an interview with al-Masirah channel, underlined that the Saudi-American coalition's military offensive encountered a big failure despite directly targeting people, hospitals and schools in Yemen in the past years.

He said the outcome of the Yemeni-Saudi Arabia talks resulted in a de-escalation and not a ceasefire. "We cannot enter into a negotiation before it leads to the solution of the humanitarian issue, which includes the payment of government employees, the restoration of electricity and the provision of services," he added.

Al-Houthi also emphasized Sana'a's firm stance and support for the oppressed Palestinian people in face of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza.

Targeting the resistance forces that are against the American hegemony in Yemen, Lebanon and Iraq is considered targeting the Palestinian cause, he noted.

Al-Houthi particularly condemned what he called the barbaric and terrorist attacks of the United States and Britain on Yemen, saying the country’s armed forces would continue to confront these aggressors and keep their support for the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.

While pointing to the lack of strong statements from Arab and Islamic countries against the Zionists' aggression in Gaza, the Yemeni official urged Arab countries to reduce 50% of their oil derivatives exports to Europe and the US and prohibit flights as well as the transfer of weapons to Israel via foreign military bases on their soil.
