American women have fought long for their lives, but it seems that they still have a long way to go due the inequality in terms of social and occupational rights.

Although practice of discrimination against women is illegal, it is still being practised in the US.

Gender discrimination is illegal. Title VII of the US Civil Rights Act of 1964 makes it illegal for an employer to discriminate against you based on your sex.
