50 airstrikes in 6 minutes on Gaza: Israeli media

Tehran, IRNA- The military of the Zionist regime carried out 50 airstrikes on the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis in just 6 minutes, an Israeli newspaper reported on Sunday.

Israeli occupation forces rained down missiles in the vicinity of Hamad city in Khan Yunis, Palestinian media cited a reported published by Yediot Aharonot newspaper

Israeli forces have intensified shelling and bombings of Gaza while invading troops infiltrating into the area that have reportedly prompted Palestinian refugees to leave this city.

Previously, Al Jazeera reported about the dire health and humanitarian situation inside Khan Yunis Hospital due to the increase in the number of refugees as well as wounded people admitted to this hospital.

Khan Yunis and Rafah have become focal points of the regime’s warplanes and artillery amid threat of a ground invasion of Rafah, a city which according to the UN, is crammed with about one and a half million Gazans.

Israeli dilemma

Meanwhile, a Hamas official said the Zionist regime is helpless, confused and aimless both on the battlefield and in the negotiations for the Gaza ceasefire.

The confusion of the Zionists can be seen in their mass killing and genocide of hungry and famine-stricken civilians in Gaza, Al Jazeera network quoted the official on Sunday night without mentioning his name.

The remarks came as the Palestinian resistance movement has expressed its eagerness about reaching an agreement to end the Israeli aggression and facilitate aid and relief.

The unnamed Hamas official told Al Jazeera that a Hamas delegation is present in Cairo to meet with the Egyptian and Qatari authorities and present its perspective, adding that the presence or absence of the Zionist delegation is not important for Palestinians.

Israeli forces on Sunday shelled hundreds of Palestinian aid-seekers who had gathered near the Kuwaiti roundabout in Gaza. The shelling killed nine Palestinians and injured dozens more. Over 100 Palestinians were killed on Thursday after Israeli troops opened fire at people waiting for food aid in Gaza City.
