The UK's inability to neutralize Yemen's operation in the Red Sea has made the country's Defense Secretary Grant Shapps resort to making unfounded claims, Alqhoom told IRNA on Tuesday.
The failure of the UK and the US to counter the Yemeni army's operation in support of Palestine and Gaza has forced Shapps to make unrealistic claims and allegations against Yemen, he added.
For years, the US and the UK have been seeking to hide their failure in the international arena and the weakening and collapse of the unipolar system that rules the world, the official stated.
Yemen enjoys a long history of fighting British colonialism and expelling it, he pointed out.
The Arab country continues its efforts to expel the remainder of this colonization from Yemen and the region, he further noted.
UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps recently made baseless claims about Yemen's support for the Hamas movement to cover up the country's failure to counter the Yemeni army's operation in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
