In a telephone conversation with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vučić on Thursday, President Raisi thanked the government and people of Serbia for expressing sympathy for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Stating that such a cowardly terrorist attack will not deter the great Iranian nation from its goals in confronting oppression and injustice, Raisi highlighted that no support from any world powers would create a safe zone for the agents involved in this crime.
Vučić, for his part, said that his country stands with Iran in fighting terrorism, calling for broadening cooperation with Iran.
Also, in a statement released on Friday, the government of the Republic of Chile expressed solidarity with the Iranians, condemned the Kerman terrorist attack, and extended its condolences to the government of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian nation, especially the families of those who lost their lives in the attacks.
The Kerman terror attacks took place after two explosions ripped through a route leading to the burial site of Iran’s anti-terror icon, General Qassem Soleimani, as people had gathered to mark the fourth anniversary of his assassination by the United States.
The Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
