Shooting gold medalist and female world taekwondo champion flagbearers of Iran in Asian Games

The Iranian squad was named after Mohsen Hojaji, one of the best-known Iranian soldiers killed in the war against terrorism in Syria.

The 19th Asian Games inaugurated in the Chinese city following a speech by the country’s President Xi Jinping.  

The games were due to be held last year, but were postponed because of the pandemic.
