According to a Saturday report by the IRNA, the chairman of the Kuwaiti-Iranian Friendship Association made the remarks in the meeting with Iran's new ambassador to Kuwait, Mohammad Totounchi.
Ali Al-Khalid Al-Sabah said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always been a supporter of neighboring Muslim countries and has proven its honesty and brotherhood many times in trouble and crisis.
Referring to the friendly and historical relations between the two neighboring Muslim countries, he stressed the importance of the more active presence of Iranian businessmen, artists, and elites in Kuwait.
Totounchi, for his part, hailed the presence of economic, social, cultural and academic elites in the Kuwaiti-Iranian Friendship Association, adding Iran has always been a supporter of neighboring Muslim countries.
He went on to say that the Iranian President and Foreign Minister have always emphasized on peaceful coexistence between the countries and expansion of relations with neighboring countries.
