Amirabdollahian wrote on his Twitter account on Tuesday that the active diplomacy of Government of Ebrahim Raisi ganied another achievement for the great nation of Iran.
He added that Iran's full membership in the SCO is an important step in pursuing an inclusive foreign policy, strengthening neighborliness and "look to Asia".
As the ninth member of the bloc, Iran strives to promote cooperation, achieve goals and benefit from this membership, Amirabdollahian noted.
Multilateralism is the basic strategy of the leading countries in the development of foreign relations and international cooperation, he noted.
He also thanked the joint effort made by the government and the parliament (Majlis) in approving the various Shanghai documents.
Raisi participated in a virtual summit of the SCO in India as the bloc officially welcomes Iran's accession.
The 23rd SCO summit kicked off on Tuesday through a video conference in India. This is the first time that Iran takes part in the SCO summit as a full member of the organization.
