IRGC’s Imam Hassan Mojtabi base in Alborz province told IRNA on Monday that the explosive device had been discovered in a waste dump near a high-voltage substation and a gas pressure reduction station.
“The explosive device was discovered at noon today in a district in Hashtgerd city,” Ali Choubdari said on Monday, adding that four foreign nationals has been arrested in connection to the case.
“The discovered item included two explosives weighing three kilograms, half a kilogram of nails, and a remote control,” he added.
The explosives were neutralized by the IRGC’s explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) forces, Choubdari added.
