Ivory Coast media directors praise beauties of Tehran & Iran

Tehran, IRNA - Two media directors from African country of Ivory Coast have described Tehran and Iran as pretty and calm with praiseworthy culture and civilization.

The two Ivory Coast directors have been in the Iranian capital to take part in the 18th General Assembly of the Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA).

Oumou Barry Sana, the vice president of the Federation of African Press Agencies (FAAPA) told IRNA on the sidelines of the 18th General Assembly of the OANA on Tuesday that in her eyes, Iran and especially Tehran are beautiful and tranquil places.

The director of Ivory Coast News Agency (AIP) went on to say that she visited Iran six years ago to sign a memorandum of understanding between the AIP and the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

She expressed gratitude for the program of visiting the National Museum of Iran in Tehran, which was organized by the host (IRNA) for the participants of the OANA meeting.

Son Désirée Aimée Florence, reporter and international department of the AIP, told IRNA that the visit to the National Museum of Iran was very interesting, praising the ancient Iranian culture and civilization.

The journalist also said that visiting historical works should be given more importance to make foreigners and Iranians more acquainted with the rich history, culture and civilization.

In the two-day OANA general assembly, around 60 senior directors, managers, and editors from 35 OANA member states discussed various topics, including the development and strengthening of media cooperation.

IRNA along with Fars and Mehr news agencies are the three media agencies in Iran representing the Islamic country in the OANA.

At the end of the 18th General Assembly of the OANA in Tehran, a final declaration was issued by the members on Tuesday.
