Speaking to IRNA, Ebrahim Rezaie said that Iran along with its military and security capabilities has been able to create security in the region.
He described successful participation in regional and global agreements as considered the reason for balancing diplomacy, saying that Shanghai treaty includes half of the world's population and a huge economy, and Iran's SCO membership help develop its economy and neutralize West’s cruel sanctions.
He referred to Iran's transit corridor as another advantage for our country's membership in the SCO, saying that it will connect countries like China in the East to Europe and the western Iran, and connect Central Asian states like Russia to the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Rezaie pointed to 31% growth in Iran’s economic interactions with SCO member states in the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year, saying that increasing the level of trade and economic exchanges with SCO members requires precise and expert work.
