-- Iran updates list of sanctioned American supporters of MKO terror group
The Iranian Foreign Ministry released its updated list of the sanctioned U.S. persons who support the anti-Iran terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO).
The Foreign Ministry, in a statement on Saturday, said the announced persons are sanctioned by the Islamic Republic based on the law of confrontation with human rights violations and U.S. adventurist and terrorist measures in the region, particularly its Article 4 which pertains to those who intentionally support the MKO terror organization through attending its meetings, approving its objectives and terrorist actions and providing it with political support.
-- Rezaeian signs for Sepahan; Ghafouri to join Foolad
Former Persepolis fullback Ramin Rezaeian joined Persian Gulf Pro League rival Sepahan on a two-year contract.
Rezaeian, 32, will replace Danial Esmaeilifar on the right side of the back four, after ex-Sepahan player – along with Soroush Rafiei and Giorgi Gvelesiani – moved in the opposite direction to sign for the Tehran-based Reds earlier in the transfer window.
A member of the Iranian national team at the 2018 World Cup and the following AFC Asian Cup, Rezaeian rejoined Persepolis – after four years in Belgium and Qatar – on a six-month deal midway through last season but was not offered a contract extension by the Reds.

-- Iran FM Rejects U.S. Claims on Drones for Russia
Iran says the United States is pursuing “specific political goals” by claiming that Tehran plans to supply hundreds of drones with combat weapon capabilities to Russia.
In a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmytro Kuleba, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian dismissed recent accusations leveled by the U.S. national security adviser against Tehran. The Iranian minister said such claims – coinciding with President Joe Biden’s visit to the occupied Palestinian territories – are in line with certain political objectives followed by the U.S.

Iran basketball team has beateb Kazakhstan 96-60 in the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup. Iran had recently lost to Kazakhstan twice at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers.
Hamed Hadadi led Iran with 12 points, while Kazakhstan’s Shaim Kuanov and Maxim Marchuk both earned 11 points. Tem Melli will play Japan on Sunday. The Group Phase is played from July 12-17. The 16 teams competing in Asia Cup 2022 are drawn into four groups of four.
Every group winner will gain direct access to the quarter final, while runners-up will play third placed teams in playoff games. The 2022 FIBA Asia Cup is being held in Jakarta, Indonesia from July 12 to 24.
-- Official: Iran-Russia Banking Cooperation to Neutralize Sanctions
The Vice Chairman of Plan and Budget Commission of Iranian Parliament Seyyed Muhammad-Reza Mir-Tajeddini on Saturday said that the expansion of economic, monetary and banking ties between Iran and Russia is an important measure to neutralize economic and banking sanctions.
Mir-Tajeddini said that the development of economic and trade relations between Iran and neighboring states especially Russia can neutralize sanctions imposed against the country.
Giant steps have been taken in the 13th government under President Raisi in the field of expansion of relations with neighbors, so that “We are witnessing the expansion of relations with eastern bloc countries including China and Russia.”

-- Diplomat: Swedish court verdict on Nouri is baseless, political
Iran’s ambassador to Stockholm says the Swedish legal system has violated the most basic principles of international law by sentencing Hamid Nouri, a detained Iranian citizen, to life imprisonment.
Ahmad Masoumifar responded to the Swedish Expressen newspaper, saying that the verdict issued by the Stockholm court is “baseless and political.”
The Iranian ambassador further noted that the first and most important point is that the Swedish legal system does not have jurisdiction over the aforementioned case, because the application of universal jurisdiction depends on the existence of an international crime.
-- Niavaran art exhibition celebrating Eid al-Ghadir
An art exhibition opened on Friday at Tehran’s Niavaran Culture Center to celebrate Eid al-Ghadir, the day on which Imam Ali (AS) was appointed as successor to the Prophet Muhammad (S).
The exhibition is being organized with contributions from the Visual Arts Office of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance and several others organizations.
58 works in the form of painters, cartoonists, photographers, graphic designers, sculptors, illustrators and pottery makers, including Masud Nejabati, Mohammad Khazai, Masud Zenderuh, Majid Nagahi, Kurosh Parsanejad, Mohammadreza Miri, Parviz Hazseli, Mina Sadr, Morteza Asadi, Saber Sheikhrezai and Ali Hayati, are on display at the exhibition, which will be running until July 21.
-- 211 idle industrial units revived in 100 days
Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) said 211 idle industrial units have been revived in the country’s industrial parks and zones in 100 days since the beginning of current Iranian calendar year (March 21).
“We have planned to revive 1,600 idle units in the present year, which is predicted to create jobs for 28,800 persons”, Ali Rasoulian stated. “The mentioned 211 units returning to the production cycle, our target for this year has been materialized by 13 percent”, he stated.
