The ambassador made the remarks at the closing ceremony of the festival in Qazvin’s Imam Khomeini University.
He said that the festival is an attractive event for university students from different countries where they can introduce their own cultures.
The ambassador said he is prideful that the Bangladeshi students that are studying in Iran are introducing the culture of Bangladesh in this festival.
Speaking during the festival on Saturday, Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology Hashem Dadashpour said that students from 119 countries are studying in Iran.
He said that attracting more foreign students is being followed by the Organization of Student Affairs.
Qazvin’s International Imam Khomeini is one of the most active universities in this regard, Dadashpour said, adding that the capacities of the university have to be used in the best way.
He noted that Iran has a 100,000 share of the global movement of university students which accounts for 1.5% of the total students moved across the world.
The official said that some 6 million students are studying in countries other than their homeland globally.
He noted that the figure will rise to 10 million within the next 10 years.
