The Iranian women's team in Taekwondo won the championship for the first time with a brilliant performance at the 25th Asian Taekwondo Championships.
Iran’s women's team won six medals, including three gold, two silver, and one bronze in this tournament.
The gold medalists were Zahra Pouresmaeil, Akram Khodabandeh, and Nahid Kiyani.
China ranked second with two gold, two silver, and a bronze medals.
South Korea finished third with two gold, one silver and one bronze medals, and Jordan ranked fourth with one gold and one bronze medals.
The 25th Asian Taekwondo Championships kicked off in Hoban Gym in Chuncheon, northeast Korea, on June 23 for four days with the participation of 299 athletes from 34 countries.
