Ambassador Turdakun Sydykov made the remarks in a meeting with the mayor of Mashhad that his country attaches great importance to the expansion of relations with Khorasan Razavi province, and especially with Mashhad metropolitan city.
“We believe and are sure there are broad potentials for expansion of Iran-Kyrgyzstan economic and investment ties,” he said.
Sydykov said that the year 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Iran-Kyrgyzstan full diplomatic ties and is therefore an important year for further expansion of bilateral relations.
He said that Iran’s neighboring Khorasan Razavi province and its capital and historical capital city, Mashad, are very important for Kyrgyzstan.
He said that the first direct Iran-Kyrgyzstan flight was launched from Mashad and therefore the Iranian and Kyrgyz merchants wishing to visit the other parts of Iran have to arrive in Mashad first.
