Kazem Shafeie made the comment in a meeting with the Slovenian President Borut Pahor at the end of his mission there.
He voiced Iran’s will and enthusiasm for broadening comprehensive ties, especially in the economic and commercial fields and pointed out that the 1st Joint Economic Commission of Iran and Slovenia will be held in near future.
He conveyed President Ebrahim Raisi’s warm greetings to his Slovenian counterpart and appreciated his efforts for broadening bilateral ties and proposing the establishment pf the Joint Economic Commission, keeping in mind the vast potentials for economic cooperation in both countries.
He expressed delight about the Slovenian president’s meeting with the Iranian foreign minister on the sidelines of the Munich security conference and appreciated the Slovenian president’s expression that Slovenia can be the threshold for Iran’s entry into Europe.
He went on to reflect on Iran's resolute will to reach a good nuclear agreement, despite the disgraceful and intriguing behavior of the Americans during the past four years.
The ambassador also elaborated on the latest status of the Vienna nuclear negotiations aimed at termination of the sanctions, arguing that although Iran is ready to enter a good agreement, but it will never yield to a useless agreement with reverse results.
The Slovenian President, too, referred to the fruitful and constructive talks he had had with the Iranian foreign minister on the sidelines of the Munich security conference, arguing that such talks before the nuclear agreement can be very promising and expressed hope for the broadening of friendly comprehensive bilateral ties.
The president termed as a mistake the US decision to leave the Joint Comprehensive Plant of Action (JCPOA) and expressed hope that the nuclear agreement and broadening of Iran-EU relations will take place in near future.
He also asked Ambassador Shafeie to convey his warm regards to President Raisi and described his visit of Iran and especially his meeting with the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as good memories of his visit.
