At his weekly media briefing in Islamabad, responding a question regarding Ahmad Vahidi’s visit to Pakistan, Asim Iftikhar said it was an important visit and part of a constructive interaction with Tehran.
“The visit of the Iranian Interior Minister had a wide agenda; there were useful consultations, high-level meetings, and, I think, it was part of the ongoing very constructive and fruitful dialogue and engagement of Pakistan with Iran,” he said.
The spokesperson went on to say, we will continue that engagement with Iran, including in the relevant mechanisms, as Iran is a close friend and partner of Pakistan.
