In an interview with IRNA on Wednesday, Reza Heydari said that Kung Fu and Martial Arts Federation of Iran didn’t give up during eight years of endeavor to register the Iranian branch of Kung Fu, with the suffix To'a, despite the strict rules applied by international organizations responsible for registration.
He said that To'a has been derived from traditions and customs of Iranian ethnicities in the north, west, southeast, and northeast of the country.
The federation has so far held many courses to train To'a as a move for global recognition of the field and many tutors from around the world have attended the courses, according to Heydari.
He also said that Iran would send a team to Asian indoor games this year and do its best to register the field in Olympic Council of Asia and then in International Olympic Committee.
