1st consignment of oil derivatives exported to Oman from Bandar Lengeh

Bandar Abbas, IRNA -Head  of Ports and Maritimes in  West Hormuzgan Province said that the first first consignment of oil derivatives ( bitumen ) was exported this year from Bandar Lengeh customs ( Southern Iran) to the port of Al Suwaiq of Oman.

The first consignment of oil derivatives in the form of 700 tons of ( bitumen )  was exported to Al Suwaiq (coastal town in northeastern Oman) in cooperation with the relevant provincial organizations, Qasem Askari told media on Tuesday.

This consignment is worth 25 billion rials, and 20,000 tons of bitumen will be exported to Oman every month.

The exports of this consignment of bitumen were conducted by the offshore oil sector and the port of Al Suwaiq of Oman. The company was set up in 2014 with the aim of producing all kinds of bitumen with a capacity of 126,000  tons in Bandar Lengeh County of Hormuzgan Province.

Hormuzgan is the first bitumen exporter in the country and bitumen was being exported from Bandar Abbas.

Bandar Lengeh is a port city and capital of Bandar Lengeh County, in Hormuzgan province of Iran on the coast of the Persian Gulf. 

Iran produces approximately 5,000,000 tons of bitumen annually, half of which is exported to the Middle East, South Asia, East and Southeast Asia, Africa and Europe .
