'The enemies should know that the Iranian military will not lose any single moment monitoring the enemies' conspiracies and adventurism, especially those of the US abominate administration.'
'The new conditions of countering the US arrogant and pharaonic threat invite all the Iranians to enter the fields of jihad, full alert, and mobilize more power,' Major-general Baqeri said .
He marked the occasion of the anniversary of liberation of Khorramshahr on May 24, 1982, following a 19-month occupation by the Iraqi forces, during the eight-year Iraqi invasion of Iran 1980-1988.
He said that the day of liberation of Khorramshahr was recorded as 'the National Day of Resistance, Self-sacrifice and Victory' in the memory and history of Iran, which reminds of a great epical event that took place with the help of God and resistance to the enemy.
Reminiscing the event that happened 37-years ago could be instructive and aspiring for the youth, he added.
'There is no doubt that the present time is one of the most important ones for the great Islamic civilization, and the model of freeing Khorramshahr is the only prescription for countering the excessive demands of the world arrogance and hegemony.'
