Major-General Mohammad Ali Jafari made the remarks while visiting the Island which is located in eastern parts of the Persian Gulf to investigate its strategic status.
He said hostile countries should know that Iran's military forces will defend every inch of it.
General Jafari said that strengthening the capabilities and readiness of Bumusa is being pursued.
He further noted that the efforts by certain extra-regional countries to sow discrod in the region will bear no fruits.
The senior commander added that Iran's friends in the region have realized that Iran is their true brother and friend and that security of the Hormuz Strait can only be provided by the regional countries.
