South Korean investors visited the solar power plant site on Saturday, the supervisor of Zarandieh Governorate Mohammad Ghanati told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Saturday.
A sum of 28 hectares of land have been allocated for the implementation of the project, he said.
The project is supposed to usher in 70 percent of the investment by the Korean company ($ 44 million) and 30% from the Iranian company, he added.
The power plant with a production capacity of 17 megawatts of electricity will be constructed in 15 months.
Zarandieh County is the northernmost county in Markazi Province in Iran. The capital of the county is Mamuniyeh. At the 2006 census, the county's population was 57,550, in 15,174 families.
