Seyyed Khallagh Mirnia told IRNA on Monday that these students are studying in statistics, pure mathematics and Persian language fields.
Referring to university's plan, he said that over 2,000 foreign students are planned to be received by the university in three years.
Regarding Mazandaran University's plan to become an international university, he added that the university has inked MoUs with five foreign universities such as Astrakhan State University, Slavic University of Kyrgyzstan, and universities in Germany, China, and Poland.
He added that Mazandran University is to sign scientific MoUs with Germany and France.
12,500 students are studying in University of Mazandaran, 750 of whom are studying at PhD level, 2,500 students at masters degree and others at bachelor degree.
University of Mazandaran has 347 faculty members, 300 visiting professors and 500 staff and is located in Babolsar.
