Military says despite extreme weather condition, 22 soldiers were ''evacuated through heroic efforts'' by rescuers.
Wednesday's military statement says the 26 troops came under a huge flow of snow late on Tuesday night near the district of Astore in northern Pakistan.
According to reports the incident took place at 11:00pm last night in Mini Marg Astore area of Gultari Sector.
A special team of Army and other rescue teams started rescue operation who retrieved four bodies of army men.
Meanwhile the injured personnel were shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Skardu.
