-- Iraqi PM: Baghdad against unilateral actions that contradict int’l principles
Iraq’s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani said his country will not accept any unilateral action by neighboring countries that contradict the international principles based on mutual respect of the countries’ sovereignty.
In a meeting with Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Akbar Ahmadian in Baghdad on Monday, al-Sudani said that Iraq has proved it is seeking good relations with countries in the region, but will not compromise on its security and sovereignty.
-- Raisi: Restored ties to help Iran, Sudan compensate for lost opportunities
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said Tehran considers restoration of ties between Iran and Sudan as a basis for compensating lost opportunities.
Raisi made the remarks at a meeting with visiting Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali al-Sadiq Ali in Tehran on Monday.
Referring to the existing capacities in the two countries and their mutual will to improve political, economic and cultural relations, the Iranian president said the exchange of ambassadors and the reopening of embassies in Tehran and Khartoum can pave the way for the revival and development of ties between the two countries.
-- Iran’s first Qur’anic exhibition in Thailand
The first international exhibition of Qur’anic cultural artifacts and products from the Islamic Republic of Iran opened at Thailand’s Al Meroz Hotel Bangkok on February 5 and will run until February 11. The exhibition is being held with the presence of the Deputy for Qur’an and Etrat of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance Alireza Moaf, IRNA reported. Following the decisions of the International Qur’an Exhibition and the recent Messages of Allah conference in Tehran with the participation of 10 countries, the first major Qur’anic exhibition in Thailand has been organized, inviting the participation of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) and the Qur’an and Etrat Deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

-- Qataris Can Now Visit Iran Without Visa
Iran’s Ambassador to Doha Ali Salehabadi says the cancelation of entry visas for Qatari tourists came into force as of Sunday. He said that Iran’s recent move to unilaterally cancel visas for Qatari citizens is an important step towards developing cooperation, particularly in tourism.
The diplomat said Iran and Qatar have numerous commonalities and economic bonds and further expansion of cooperation would secure the national interests of the two countries.

The 42nd Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) in Iran showcases the captivating movie ‘Miro’ that throws the spotlight on local actors hailing from Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
The flick is themed on the 1980s Iraq-Iran war and follows an adolescent determined to go to war, iFilm reported. ‘Miro’, directed by Hussein Rigi, narrates the resilience of people in Sistan and Baluchestan Province amidst the hardships of the Iraq-Iran war.
-- Exports From Isfahan Up 9%
Isfahan Customs Administration’s Director General Rasoul Kouhestani Pajouh on Monday said that the province exported 1.909 million tonnes of goods during 10 months of the current Iranian year (to January 20) showing a 9 percent YOY rise in volume.
Kouhestani Pajouh said that the province exported 1.909 million tons of goods worth $1.197 billion during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year.

-- Iran, Russia, China plan joint naval drill to bolster regional security
Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, Commander of the Iranian Navy, announced plans for a joint naval drill with China and Russia aimed at strengthening regional security.
Speaking at a training center for marines in northern Iran, Admiral Irani emphasized the exercise's goal of "preserving and safeguarding the economic interests and reservoirs of the country," while also contributing to overall regional security and shared interests.
-- Agro-food exports rise 22% in 10 months on year
The value of Iran’s exports of agricultural and foodstuff products increased by 22 percent in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2023-January 20, 2024), the spokesman of the International Relations and Trade Development Committee of Iran's House of Industry, Mining and Trade said.
According to Ruhollah Latifi, Iranian producers managed to export over 6.775 million tons of the mentioned products worth more than $4.873 billion in the said 10 months, also registering an 8.4 percent rise in terms of weight.

The bill for the official formulation of three free trade zones in the northern Iranian province of Mazandaran has navigated various approval stages and is now officially sanctioned by both the Iranian Parliament and the Guardian Council.
This approval unlocks the potential for harnessing the benefits of the free trade zone across three coastal areas, totaling 1,605 hectares, with the primary goal of stimulating tourism development within the Mazandaran province.
