“Iran's drone capabilities are advancing proportionately to potential threats, and we are witnessing technological leaps in various industries, including metallurgy, fiberglass, and composites, thanks to this great transformation,” Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi-Fard said on Saturday.
Sabahi-Fard underscored the superior aerial capabilities of Iran’s indigenous drones, which he said have taken the edge off the aerial superiority of some foreign countries.
“The development of drone use plays a crucial role in enhancing the combat and operational capabilities of air defense, and this matter is being pursued with seriousness,” he told a gathering of commanders of the Air Defense Force’s drone fleet.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the commander said resorting to act of terrorism shows the height of the enemies’ humiliation and degradation.
“These actions signify the frustration of enemies in the face of the progress and increasing power of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said, referring to a twin terrorist attack in southeastern Iran on Wednesday that left dozens of people dead.
